The overarching goal of the Positively Kids’ Neonatal Follow-Up Program is to increase access to comprehensive and highly skilled neonatal follow up care for newborn and/or high risk infants at risk of short and long term health problems due to being born prematurely, with low birth weight, and/or with other serious medical conditions.
This program provides an array of comprehensive services appropriate for premature newborns and high risk infants including an assessment of the medical, nutritional, neurological, developmental and psycho-social needs of preterm and high-risk infants after discharge from area hospitals. Through close coordination with our Early Intervention and Home Health programs, children will have access to early intervention, nutritional and home health as integral services of the program.
Positively Kids coordinates closely with area hospitals, NICU units, local midwives, the Health District, the Maternal and Child Health Coalition, and other community agencies/organizations that serve as key stakeholders and as referral resources for the program. Referrals/appointments are made by calling 702-262-0037. The high risk newborn clinic is located at the Positively Kids’ office on East Tompkins Avenue.
